Once again in 2007 all proceeds of the Tote and the Raffle are going to charity. Many thanks to the staff of Stanbic Bank & Price Waterhouse Coopers for organising the Tote, the various airlines for donating the raffle prizes and to Kampala Kids League for selling the raffle tickets.

This year's main recipient will be Katalemwa Cheshire Home. They specialise in providing assistance to the physically disabled including provision of medical, orthopaedic and surgical facilities, education & training.

Disabilities treated include polio, cerebral palsy, TB, osteomyelitis and others. The clinic has 80 beds for use by patients, most of whom are children & young people.

Nile Breweries is once again donating 1,000,000shs (approx $650) to Nsambya Babies Home (see below for more details).

The Kids League: Funds raised by the Goat Races will be put to expanding the sports programme in the IDP camps and in the newly established decongested villages. If any organisation would like to provide any further help please contact : thekidsleague@yahoo.co.uk for more details.

Mama Bag Appeal catering for single mothers and providing maternity care.

Salama School for the Blind is a primary school who mission is to have all blind chidren educated. It has been in existance for seven years and currently has sixty two blind childen. Apart from academics work it trains them in many other independence skills that can sutain their lively hood. The Bakateyamba Home in Nalukolongo was established by the late Cardinal Emmanuel Nsubuga and is now run by catholic priest and nuns. The Home looks after elderly people who are in dire straits with no relatives or friends to look after them.Currently it looks after approximately 80 people.

Nsambya Babies Home provides shelter for orphans and abandoned babies. They rely largely on volunteer staff and voluntary financial and contributions. They are also very active at fund raising, using their owns efforts and run a second hand clothing shop selling donated items, funds from which go into the home.
