THE RULES

RACE RULES
  • Any inquiries or objections must be lodged with stewards whose judgment and decisions shall be final. Appeals and objections, which may only be made by goat owners, must be lodged either during the running of the race, or immediately after the race is run.
  • There will be herd boys assigned to the goats in each race, who will have no connections to the owners, partners or goats. Their instructions are to keep all the goats moving and not to impair the movement of the goats, or move the rolling barrier past the hind feet of the last goat.
  • Please note that one furlong is equivalent to one circuit of the track.
  • Each race consist of 10 goats per race.
BETTING/TOTE
  • Betting facilities are available at the Tote. Please be aware that pay-out is based on final calculated odds, not intermittent odds announced or posted prior to the running of the race. Pay-out odds include the price of your initial bet. On betting matters, final decisions shall be made by the tote co-coordinators.
  • First Second & third place winners receive cash winnings
  • All Profits form the betting tote goes to the selected charity!
PUBLIC SAFTEY
  • Security and safety are of the utmost importance, we work hand in hand with law enforcement and public safety agencies to help ensure the safety of our events. Some of the security measure you will notice upon your arrival such as bag checks & walk through metal detectors for all attendees, staff and performers as well as dog sweeps.
  • Please note that we will implement searches upon entry. Please arrive early and note you will not be permitted to enter with prohibited items.
  • In the event of an emergency, information may be relayed on the video screens & over the audio system.
  • If you or a friend require medical assistance please report to the medical tent.
  • Should a problem develop please contact one of the security personnel.
  • The Royal Ascot Goat races cannot be held responsible for personal injuries, death or any item which is LOST, STOLEN or DAMAGED.
PASS AND ORDER RULES
  • Tickets & Wristbands are void if tampered with or removed
  • Ticket will be scanned for entry
  • The hospitality tents are available to invited guests only. Guests are identified by specific colour-coded or logo wristbands. Please assist gate attendants at each enclosure by displaying the appropriate wristband for entry to that tent, on your wrist.
  • All tickets are non refundable
  • Ages 8 & under are free. Management reserve the right to ask for proof.
CODE OF CONDUCT
  • The Royal Ascot goat races is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and fun experience for everyone for our guests.
  • These actions can get you removed from the venue.
    • Irresponsible and unsafe use of alcohol
    • Accessing restricted areas including entering the lake.
    • Taunting, abusive or offensive language
    • Possession/use/sale of illegal drugs
    • Public urination or defecation (outside of the restroom)
    • Fighting or engaging in any action that may harm , endanger , threaten or bring discomfort to anyone
    • Damage, destruction , vandalism or theft of any property
    • Participating in any activity that humiliates any one or insults their human dignity

Any Individual who violates this Code of Conduct may be IMMEDIATELY removed from the event grounds and have their event privileges revoked without refund. Law enforcement may be notified.
